FEATURE

Content Optimization Tool for On-Page SEO

Paste a URL or a draft and get a content score plus a concrete checklist — keyword use, structure, readability, and the on-page basics search engines look for

01

What it does

SeeO's content optimization tool analyzes a page or a plain-text draft and returns a content score with a breakdown of what helps and what hurts. It parses the HTML (cheerio) to measure word count, readability, keyword density, heading structure, internal and external link counts, images missing alt text, and the length of the title and meta description. The point is not a vanity score but a prioritized checklist: which terms to add, whether the structure reads well, and which on-page basics are missing — so a writer can act without guessing.

02

How it works

INPUT

A page URL or a pasted text draft, plus an optional target keyword

PROCESS
  • Fetches and parses the page HTML (cheerio) or reads the pasted draft
  • Computes word count, readability, and keyword density across the text
  • Maps the heading structure (H1-H6) and counts internal and external links
  • Flags images without alt text and checks title and meta description length
  • Rolls the signals into a single content score with a prioritized checklist
OUTPUT
  • A content score (0-100) with a breakdown by signal
  • Keyword density and missing-term suggestions
  • Heading structure and link-count checks
  • A prioritized list of on-page fixes
DATA SOURCE

On-page analysis runs on the fetched page or draft — no third-party index required for the core checks

  • · Editors reviewing drafts before they go live
  • · SEO practitioners auditing existing pages for quick wins
  • · Teams standardizing on-page quality across many authors

Real limitations

  • · Analysis is on-page only — it does not judge content quality or intent
  • · Very large pages may be truncated to a practical limit
  • · Readability scoring is a heuristic, not a substitute for editing judgment
  • · It does not rewrite the content for you

FAQ

What does the content score mean?

It is a 0-100 roll-up of on-page signals — keyword use, structure, readability, links, and alt text. A higher score means fewer obvious on-page gaps, not guaranteed rankings.

Can I analyze a draft before publishing?

Yes. You can paste plain text instead of a URL, so the score works during writing, not just after the page is live.

Does it check keyword stuffing?

It reports keyword density so you can see whether a term is underused or overused. Healthy density varies by topic; the tool shows the number, you make the call.

Does it look at internal links?

Yes. It counts internal and external links and flags images missing alt text, since both are basic on-page signals search engines use.

Will it rewrite my content?

No. It returns a prioritized checklist of fixes; the writing stays with you. That keeps you in control of tone and accuracy.

How does this connect to the other modules?

Target keywords often come from keyword research, and the same page can be watched in rank tracking after you publish the fixes.
