Competitor Analysis Tool for the Keyword Gap

See exactly which keywords your rivals rank for that you don't — and where you already overlap — so you can target gaps instead of guessing

01

What it does

SeeO's competitor analysis tool starts from your own keyword set and discovers the domains that actually compete for those terms in Google. It then compares your rankings against a chosen competitor to surface the keyword gap: terms the competitor ranks for that you don't, terms you own, and terms where you go head to head. Domains that are really just platforms (aggregators, Wikipedia, YouTube, and similar) are filtered out so they don't pollute the comparison. The output is a prioritized list of gaps you can feed straight into content and rank tracking.

02

How it works

INPUT

Your domain plus the keywords you already track

PROCESS
  • Discovers competing domains from the current Google SERPs for your keywords
  • Classifies each domain and filters out platforms and aggregators that aren't real rivals
  • Compares your positions with a chosen competitor per keyword
  • Computes the keyword gap: competitor-only, you-only, and shared terms
  • Ranks gaps by opportunity so you know which to attack first
OUTPUT
  • A list of competing domains discovered from the SERP
  • Keyword gap: competitor-only, you-only, and shared terms
  • Per-keyword side-by-side ranking comparison
  • A prioritized shortlist to feed into content and rank tracking

FAQ

Where does the competitor data come from?

SeeO compares your tracked rankings with live Google SERP data via SerpApi, and filters out platforms and aggregators so the rival set reflects real competition.

Do I need to enter a competitor manually?

Discovery starts from the SERP, so SeeO finds who actually competes for your keywords. You then pick one domain to compare the keyword gap against.

What is a keyword gap?

It is the set of terms a competitor ranks for that you don't (and vice versa). Gaps are usually the fastest, most defensible content opportunities.

Does it exclude Wikipedia and YouTube?

Yes. Domains that are platforms rather than true business rivals are filtered from the comparison so they don't distort the gap.

How is this different from rank tracking?

Rank tracking watches your own positions over time; competitor analysis adds the rival dimension so you can see where you lag and where you lead.

Can I act on the gaps directly?

Yes. A prioritized gap list can be sent into content optimization and rank tracking, so discovery turns into tracked work.
